Check out the latest viral videos from the Cola giants.  Both entertain — but the contrasting approaches in these two videos clearly demonstrate the different tack each takes.

These ads are both absolutely brilliant but take two different approaches. The Coke ad was awesome, the product is introduced very early on, and is prevalent all the way through. The pepsi max ad is the opposite, it isn’t until the end that we know what the ad is actually for.The target market for Coke seems to be younger and or college age students with this particular ad. Pepsi seems to be targeting the younger generation as well as sports fans of any age. The coke ad is also very cool because it almost makes you want to go out and see if you can think of an even crazier way to share a coke, and to share a coke you have to buy a coke. The pepsi ad is just plain entertaining. There are several ways that these ads are different but they are also similar in a lot of ways. They both take the viewer on a journey, they grab your attention immediately and tell a story from start to finish. You want to know if “Uncle Drew” is truly an old frail man with the best moves of all time or if theres more to the story. with the coke ad you want to know what this contraption will actually look like and if it will work. These two ads are genius and now i really want a soda.
